Heat sealing is one of the most common methods used to close flexible packaging, and its success depends on getting three variables right: temperature, pressure, and time. Even small deviations in any of these can compromise seal strength, allow leakage, or shorten shelf life. The TS-HS5 Heat Seal Tester was designed to take the guesswork out of this process, giving laboratories and production teams a reliable, repeatable way to determine the exact sealing parameters a given film or laminate requires before it goes into full-scale production.
In real production environments, sealing conditions are rarely uniform. Film thickness can vary slightly from roll to roll, ambient temperature and humidity shift throughout the day, and different film structures respond differently to the same heat and pressure. Without a dedicated instrument to isolate and control these variables, manufacturers are often left to rely on trial and error directly on the production line, which wastes material, slows down changeovers, and makes it harder to pinpoint the true cause of a failed seal. The TS-HS5 addresses this gap by recreating sealing conditions in a controlled, laboratory setting, so each variable can be adjusted and observed independently.
