The TS-MI-CPV Melt Flow Indexer is a precision instrument built to determine how a thermoplastic material behaves once it moves into a viscous, molten state. By holding a sample at a controlled temperature and applying a fixed load, the instrument measures how much material flows through a standardized die opening over a ten-minute interval, generating a reliable Melt Flow Rate (MFR) reading for every batch tested.
It is engineered to handle materials across a wide temperature window, which means it comfortably tests demanding, high-temperature engineering plastics such as polycarbonate, aromatic sulfone resins, fluoropolymers, and nylon, as well as everyday commodity resins with lower melting points, including polyethylene (PE), polystyrene (PS), polypropylene (PP), ABS, polyoxymethylene (POM), and additional polycarbonate (PC) grades.
